放射能汚染水の海洋投棄に反対するみなさんへ
8月24日、グローバルアクション2024を呼びかけます！
昨年4月13日のグローバルアクションには、日本国内だけでなく世界各地から放射能汚染水の海洋投棄に反対する声があがりました。送られてきた100 枚近い写真や力強いメッセージに、私たちはとても勇気づけられました。みなさんのご参加に心から感謝いたします。こちらのグローバルアクション2023のフォトアルバムをご覧ください。
しかし、国内外から無数の反対の声があるにもかかわらず、昨年8月24日、岸田政権は放射能汚染水海洋投棄を強行しました。
これまでに7回の投棄が行われ、3,589立法メートルになり、トリチウム放出量は約8.6兆ベクレルになります。夏休み、海水浴を楽しむ子どもたちに考慮し、8月の投棄は中止してほしいと東電に市民団体が申しいれても、安全が確保されているとして、予定通り投棄を行いました。
海は全てのいのちの源です。⼈間の都合で放射性物質を投棄してはいけないのです。まして、海の生物は声を上げることはできません。反対の声を上げられるのは私たち人間だけ！今年も地域や国を越えて、私たちはつながり、放射能汚染水投棄中止を求めるアピールをしましょう。
★グローバルアクション2024は8⽉24⽇に⾏います。⼀⼈でも仲間と⼀緒でも、室内でも戸外でも、お手製のプラカードを掲げてアピールし、国や地域、団体名などを明記して画像を下記までお送りください。

To all those opposed to the dumping of radioactive waste water into the Pacific Ocean:
Don't Contaminate the Oceans Anymore! Citizens’ Council (KOREUMI)’s 2024 global action will take place on August 24!
During our April 13 global action last year, people from Japan and across the world raised their voices against the dumping of radioactive waste water into the Pacific Ocean. We were deeply encouraged by the close to 100 photos and powerful messages we received. We express our heartfelt thanks for your participation. Despite these countless voices of opposition from Japan and around the world, on August 24 of last year, the Kishida administration forced through the dumping of radioactive waste water into the Pacific Ocean. There have been 7 discharges thus far, releasing a total of 23,589 cubic meters of contaminated water and approximately 8.9 trillion Becquerels of tritium. Civil groups petitioned TEPCO to suspend this year’s August discharge out of consideration for children enjoying recreational activities at the ocean during their summer break, but TEPCO has maintained that safety has been ensured and is attempting to dump the contaminated water as planned.
The ocean is the source of all life. We cannot dump radioactive materials into it for human convenience. Moreover, ocean creatures cannot raise their voices. It is only us humans who can raise our voices in opposition! Let’s connect again this year across region and nation to advocate for an end to radioactive wastewater dumping.
We will have a global action on August 24. Alone or with friends, indoors or outdoors, please display a handmade sign/banner and send us a photograph that indicates your country, region, and/or organization name. We enthusiastically welcome any protests or demonstrations around the 24th. We will share them on KOREUMI’s blog and Facebook page.
We have one more announcement. In order not to forget August 24, 2023, the day the ocean dumping began, we will begin protesting in Fukushima prefecture on the 24th of each month, starting this month. We would like to invite you to participate in this as well. Please send us your photos.
